Grilled Rib Eye Steak
Grilled rib eye steak is a delicious cut of meat that will be the center attraction to your summer grilling season! Flavor with salt and pepper and serve with a cilantro-lime compound butter along with your favorite side dishes!

Grilled Rib Eye Steak
The Memorial Day weekend always marks the summer grilling season for us!
There is something special about paying tribute to those that paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the armed forces.
Yeah, Alan may have served 28 years in the Navy, and our family endured about 8 deployments (6 months of family separation each time), but he DID come home.
It seems so foreign to me NOW to have had that lifestyle. We’re grateful for the experience, the camaraderie as well as the support from family and friends during those years.

It’s only natural that we kick of the summer season with a good ole All-American BBQ with grilled rib eye steak!Â
It’s time to head to the beach, soak up those sunshine rays, cook outdoors, and make some memories with your loved ones!
Best Rib Eye Steak
You can always whip up some classic grilled hamburgers, but when you want something a little extra special, go for ribeye steak!
The best ribeye steaks have plenty of that marbled fat that are perfect for grilling, rendering a juicy cut of beef.
Don’t skimp on the quality of beef you purchase. The absolute best comes from family farmed grass-fed beef, which is the only type of meat Strauss Direct provides.
The meat tastes amazing, partly because Strauss Direct supports family farmer’s that ensure their cattle are free to roam and raised on land that is chemical-free.
It makes a difference, friends!
The Best Way to Grill Ribeye
Grilling certainly doesn’t get any easier when all the meat is shipped directly to your house.
I had about 21 pounds of meat to break out this weekend and went straight for the rib eye and filet minion.
Rib eye is one of the tastiest cuts of beef to grill, so there is no need to marinade it. Layering the flavor is what you do with cheaper cuts of beef.
Simply let the steak sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, then add a thin layer of olive oil to both sides of the steak and generously season with salt and pepper.
How Long Do You Grill Ribeye Steaks?
The meat doesn’t take long to grill, so prepare your side dishes in advance. Try this slow cooker corn on the cob with cilantro-lime butter and use the butter on the steaks too! I also served this low carb potato salad.
For a gas grill, use the direct heat method on medium-high.
For medium-rare (internal 135 degrees F) cook for 4-6 minutes total
Medium (140 degrees F), 5-7 minutes total
Medium-well (150 degrees F), 8-10 minutes total
What To Serve With Steak
These are some of my favorite recipes to serve with steak. What do you serve with steak?
- Slow cooker corn on the cob – with cilantro lime butter (pictured)
- Low carb potato salad – made with cauliflower in a creamy mayonnaise base.
- Strawberry avocado salad – made with a light poppy seed dressing. Serve without the chicken in this recipe.
