Ingredients

The best part of making this low-carb ranch dressing recipe is that you only need a few simple ingredients. You most likely already have these ingredients on hand so you don’t have to worry about making a special trip to the grocery store.

  • Ranch Dressing Mix – Make this homemade. It tastes delicious without preservatives. However, in a pinch, you can purchase the pre-made dressing that comes in a package.
  • mayonnaise – I like plain mayonnaise, but you can also use mayonnaise with avocado oil.
  • buttermilk – If you make your own ranch dressing mix, then you may have powdered buttermilk. You can use it in this recipe as well by mixing it with water. See my pro tips below.

Sandra’s Pro Tips

  • If you are using buttermilk powder you will need 1/2 cup of water mixed with 1 tablespoon of buttermilk powder.
  • I like to make this dressing in advance in allow it to chill in the fridge for at least a couple of hours so that the flavors have to develop and meld together well.
  • If you don’t have fresh buttermilk or powdered on hand you can make your own by mixing 2 1/2 teaspoons of white vinegar or lemon juice into 1/2 cup of milk.
