Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls 1 package, connected
  • 2 to 3 cups cooked pulled pork plain, warmed
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce plus extra for brushing
  • 6 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese halved
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Without separating the rolls, slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer. Place the halves with the cut side up on the baking sheet.
  • Spread a thin layer of barbecue sauce over the cut side of the rolls.
  • Mix the remaining barbecue sauce with the pulled pork. Then evenly distribute the pulled pork across the surface.
