Snicker Salad
I’m not sure where I got this recipe or why it’s called a salad because it’s definitely a dessert. I do know it’s a crowd-pleaser, and just the type of salad kids love! It’s also super easy to whip up.
When you take a peek at the ingredients, you can certainly see why it has made the “family favorite” list and most requested potluck recipe (sorry it took so long, Penny!). The mouth puckering sour crunch of the green apples mixed with the sweet sink in your teeth chocolate bar wrapped in whipped cream is a combination that your sweet tooth will be delighted with!
Snicker Salad (Serves 8-10)
- 1 large box instant French Vanilla Pudding (white chocolate is FABULOUS too)
- 1 1/2 cups of milk
- 1 16 oz non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
- juice of 1 lemon
- 6 granny smith apples, chopped in bite size pieces
- 6 Snicker bars, sliced in bite size pieces (I freeze the bars to help keep the salad cold)
Slice Snicker bars and dice apples. Pour lemon juice over the apples to prevent them from turning brown and set aside.
In a separate large mixing bowl, combine pudding and milk. Whisk until the pudding is set (a couple of minutes). Fold in the whipped topping until well combined. Add the apples and Snicker bars. Enjoy!
Next time I plan on trying the Almond Snickers bar or maybe Heath bars!
I agree! Thanks for stopping by!!
Young pastry chef in the making…I want to be a part of it 😉
lol.. this is probably one of the most unhealthy salads! But I love it!! Snicker and pear must be a great pair! hehe..
Yes, quite a stretch calling this a salad – haha!!
This looks ridiculously good!! And I’m thinking the Heath bars you mentioned will be my weapon of choice 😉 Thanks for posting!
Oh, yes! What a treat 🙂
Mom’s like it when you follow their advice 😉
I think this may be the way I’ll get my children to eat salad! I agree…a perfect recipe to prepare for a covered dish party.
Yep, this salad won’t require any enticements. In fact, it may be gone before they get to the main dish! Haha.
My other half has a ridiculous obsession with Snickers bars. And I with the green apples. This one is a keeper! Yum!
Your little ones may be thrilled with this “salad” too!
