Refreshing sugar-free Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade is delicious to sip on while enjoying the spring-time weather or make for a special festive occasion!
Are you starting to see some splashes of sunshine and new growth in your garden?
My mint looks fantastic and is growing wild. I’m not having the same luck with with my basil though!
After transplanting my basil from my window sill to an outside container it got mad at me and hasn’t grown as well since then.
Perhaps the mama got tired of me snipping the leaves off for that gorgeous basil pesto I was hooked on a few months ago or maybe the sun rays aren’t strong enough in that area .
I don’t know, but I’m going to try to get the few herbs I have to flourish again!
Spring-time and gardens with bright plants encourages me to be in the yard more. I enjoy sweeping up the leaves that fall on our deck and sprucing up our courtyard with seasonal flowers.
It usually turns into a half day event and more exercise than going to they gym.
Seriously, I work up a sweat and well as workout muscles that I never knew existed!
Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade With Monk Fruit
This Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade is the perfect reward for a good day of work in the yard!
I love looking at what I’ve accomplished by propping my feet up on a lounge chair while sipping on a refreshing cold drink!
After sweating and burning all those calories, the last thing I want is to fill up on a sugary soda, so I created this sugar-free lemonade from a natural sweetener from monk fruit!
Natvia provided me with a variety of natural sweeteners including their Norbu brand of The Sweet Monk, the sugar alternative made from monk fruit.
I’ve been a proponent of natural sweeteners like xylitol, erythritol, and stevia for quite a while, but I’ve never tried monk fruit until now.
Monk fruit can be used and prepared just like you would table sugar, and it’s natural sweetness doesn’t have a bitter aftertaste.
This is great tasting sweetener with incredibly low calories (zero per 1/2 teaspoon) that I plan on experimenting more with!
Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade is easy to make using fresh berries.
This lemonade has that prominent punch of tang from the freshly squeezed lemons, and can be made with filtered water instead of sparkling if preferred.

Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade
- 1 cup sugar or sugar alternative I used Natvia
- 1 cup water + 3 cups sparkling mineral water
- 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and cut in half
- 1 cup about 5-8 depending on size fresh Lemon juice
- In a small sauce pan combine 1 cup of the sweetener, 1 cup of water and strawberries. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the strawberries begin to release its juices. Remove from heat and cool.
- Once cool put in a blender and process until smooth. Add lemon juice to combine with strawberries. Strain (a couple of times) to remove seeds (optional), and transfer to a pitcher.
- Stir in remaining 3 cups of water. Fill cups with ice and enjoy!
Note 2 – For an alcoholic beverage, make the base (through step 3) and individually add a teaspoon of the strawberry/lemonade mixture to a glass of champagne.
