Avocado cream sauce is a simple condiment made with fresh avocados, crema, cilantro, then seasoned with lime juice and salt.

Add to fish tacos, burritos, nachos, eggs, and any other dish that could use a extra dose of flavor!

Put this avocado cream sauce recipe in your must make list!

This creamy sauce is a cross between guacamole and a creamy delicious dip.

Although a dollop or two it is perfect for all Mexican dishes, this can also be used as a dip for veggies or topped on soups!  Once you taste it you are going to want to add it to EVERYTHING!

Do you love avocados as much as I do?  Anytime I get a chance to add some avocado slices to a salad or wrap, I do!  In fact, there are times I have brought avocados to restaurants to secretly add to my food!

Avocados are full of fiber and healthy fats, which can keep you full longer!

That explains why once avocado is added to dishes you leave feeling completely satisfied.

Did you know that avocados are actually a fruit and not from the veggie family?  That must be why they taste so good in smoothies and muffins.

If you are interested in learning about the benefits of this nutrient dense fruit, Dr. Axe has a great article outlining the benefits of avocados and mentions that avocados are one of the top superfoods that should be added to your diet.

Lately I have topped the sauce on the homemade tamales I made with salsa!  The creamy avocado sauce adds a nice flavor and cools down spicy foods perfectly!

This recipe is very simple, so next time you have an avocado that gets to the point of using or tossing, then whip up a batch this sauce.

The other main ingredient in this recipe is crema.  Are you familiar with the Mexican sour cream like sauce?  It’s often served along with salsa and serves as a neutralizer for spicy foods.

The flavor is mildly tangy and the consistency is thiner than sour cream as well.

I have found crema in my grocery store in the dairy section, but if it’s not available where you shop homemade crema is simple to make.

I happened to have everything for this and was making grilled chicken tacos last night. Whipped this out and it was a huge success! Not one drop of it left by the time our family had dinner! Thanks!

This looks so creamy, but not over-the-top with calories and what a yummy dip and topping. I think I will be using it for a salad dressing first! 😀
