HOW TO MAKE THIS BROILED FLANK STEAK RECIPE
Making this broiled flank steak recipe is simple. Just follow these steps below and you will have a tasty steak dinner that is simple enough for busy weeknights, yet impressive enough to serve to guests.
STEP 1: WHISK TOGETHER THE MARINADE INGREDIENTS
In a small mixing bowl whisk together olive oil, cumin, salt, and juice of two limes.
Place marinade in a plastic bag with the steak, close the bag, and massage marinade all over the meat.
STEP 2: ADD THE DICED TOMATOES AND CILANTRO
Add diced tomatoes and 1/2 cup chopped cilantro and coat the meat again.
STEP 3: MARINADE THE MEAT FOR AT LEAST TWO HOURS
Put in the refrigerator to marinade for at least 2 hours and up to 1 day.
STEP 4: LINE A BAKING SHEET WITH FOIL
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and set it aside.
STEP 5: ALL THE STEAK TO COME TO ROOM TEMPERATURE
To cook steak remove from the refrigerator and let sit for thirty minutes at room temperature.
STEP 6: BROIL THE FLANK STEAK
Place steak on the prepared baking sheet and place six inches below the broiler and broil for 2 minutes. Flip and broil the other side for 3 minutes.
STEP 7: ALL THE STEAK TO REST THEN SLICE AND SERVE
Remove steak from heat and place on a cutting board. Cover lightly with foil and let sit for 5 minutes. Slice against the grain.
