Remember when I shared this Cauliflower Soup and I mentioned that we eat soup year round because our summer months are thick and soupy (good pun) with fog?  Our warm summer months are in full force during September and October.

The weather is fabulous right NOW!  But I was worried that the sunshine wasn’t going to make a full appearance this year because several days last week I pulled out sweaters and even wore boots to work!

My footwear changed drastically this weekend.  Back to flip-flops and shorts!  it was so warm that it’s been pegged as “Indian summer” weather.

Right in the frozen section near the veggie aisle at my local Trader Joe’s grocery store are small packs of Dorot herbs that are easy to pop out and use in any dish you want.

Using Dorot in a dressing is convenient and economical.  There is no chopping, dicing or wasting any ingredients.  All you do is use the amount you need and then put the lid back on the container and put it back in the freezer. The herbs tastes as fresh as if you got them from your garden.

  1. Hone Mustard is my absolute favourite dressing EVER!! It’s our go to dressing we make at home!
I am loving the idea of frozen portions of herbs and spices! Especially garlic since we use it so much at home! I need to look up Dorot here.

  2. I can never keep anything alive for very long so I never have fresh herbs growing near me. I have to buy them all the time and I hate that they go bad so quickly! Having these already portioned out is awesome! I certainly need to grab the garlic ones as I hate peeling garlic but I love the smell on my hands. I know, I’m weird!
